Something About Jane
Jane Butterworth is an emerging singer-songwriter from South Australia, bringing together acoustic guitar and heartfelt storytelling with influences spanning country, folk, blues, soul and the singer-songwriter tradition.
A songwriter since childhood, Jane has recently stepped into a new chapter, following what she describes as her soul’s calling to create and share her music.
Her debut single, FORGIVENESS, is a deeply personal reflection on the transformative power of letting go. Inspired by Jane’s own journey of inviting forgiveness into her life, the song explores the freedom that can come from releasing the hold of a difficult experience from the past.
Jane's Sound
Jane has drawn inspiration from folk, Christian, country, blues and the intimate singer-songwriter sounds of the ’90s and 2000s.
Her debut single, FORGIVENESS, sits in that space - melodic, heartfelt and reflective, with echoes of artists such as Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Eva Cassidy and Joss Stone.

Jane creates vibrant, intuitive abstract artworks inspired by natural flowing forms from flora as well as the connectivity and flow of pathways created in the natural and man-made environments, exuding joy and curiosity.
Her vision is to promote joy and vibrancy in the spaces her artwork is displayed, encouraging an uplifting, calming feeling for all to enjoy.
She has exhibited in the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival for 4 years and enjoys collaborating on community and public art projects that inspire connection and creativity.
